1. Who We Are

I AM ULTRA ("we", "us", "our") is a project based in Malta. We are building a mobile application for ultra-marathon and trail runners.

2. What Data We Collect

Through our Coming Soon page at iamultra.run, we collect:

Email address — provided voluntarily through the waitlist signup form
Signup timestamp — the date and time of form submission

We do not collect any other personal data at this stage. We do not use cookies or third-party tracking tools on this page.

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

We collect your email address based on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR). You actively opt in by checking the consent checkbox and submitting the form. We use your email solely to:

Notify you when I AM ULTRA launches
Send occasional product updates related to the app

We will not use your email for any other purpose, and we will never sell, rent, or share it with third parties for marketing.

4. How We Store Your Data

Your email is stored on our server hosted by Hostinger (data center in the EU). Access to the stored data is protected by an API key and restricted to the project owner only.

We retain your email until the product launches or until you withdraw your consent — whichever comes first.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject, you have the right to:

Access — request what data we hold about you
Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Lodge a complaint — with the Malta Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) at idpc.org.mt

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@iamultra.run. We will respond within 30 days.

6. How to Unsubscribe

You can remove your email from our waitlist at any time by visiting /unsubscribe or by emailing us directly. Upon removal, your data is permanently deleted from our system.

7. Third-Party Services

At this stage, we do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data processing services. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and notify waitlist subscribers before any data is shared.

8. Data Transfers

Your data is stored within the EU (Hostinger EU data center) and is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. If we make significant changes, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
